To Update Or Not To Update: That Is The Question

To update, or not to update: that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;

This notification has been bothering me in the administration panel of my blog for the past few weeks. Being new to this blogging thing, I haven’t tried doing it before and I fear that if I do, I might mess things up. I’m still trying to weigh things out and hopefully I’d come up with a decision in the next few days. So if ever you won’t see my site in the next few days, it only means that I tried to update to Wordpress 2.5 and failed… *crossing my fingers* ^_^

pRO Valkyrie Prison Break - Getting Out of Hugel Prison

I once was an avid player of the MMORPG Ragnarok Online. I started playing I think in 2003. I gained a few friends online and that was the reason why I got hooked. However a few months after I started, I stopped playing the game for financial reasons - the game was eating most of my allowance. I was in the Chaos server back then.

A few years later, news spread that Level Up Games would open up a new server which was free to play. This server was called pRO Valkyrie.

Seeing that all that I needed was a computer with decent specs plus good Internet connection
, I jumped in on the bandwagon and created a new character in the pRO Valkyrie Server.

I was quite enjoying myself playing the new Taekwondo character. A week of being in addict mode, I reached level 75. I was leveling at the map above Lighthalzen because that’s where hordes of Metalings reside. Why Metalings at level 75? There was this event that made formless monsters give out x2 exp. Having no equipment except for a hat, Metalings were my best choice. Plus I have some Field Manuals handy.

Now one day, when I opened my account, I was in this unfamiliar place. There are no portals to exit to. There were other characters however their behaviors seem inhuman… bot-like. That’s when I realized I was in some sort of jail for 3rd party software users. “WTF?! But I wasn’t using any! Why am I here?!” So I filed a ticket. A few weeks passed by and nothing happened so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Reminiscing College

I’m back! The “lazy” part of the name Lazy Goy kicked in. Sorry for that ^_^

Anyway, this “comeback” post is about reminiscing college life. My sister has just graduated on her second course at the Ateneo de Manila. Fresh out of the university life, she may still be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. This became evident when she sent me a link to her blog entitled “The Life of a Student.” Well, I was really able to relate well with the post so here I am making a repost of her post so I can share it with you. Hope you enjoy this as well as I did ^_^
