PRC Adventures
We were advised to get our board ratings directly from the PRC office rather than to wait for them in the mail. It was around 10 am and the office was already filled with people. We (Riza, Mishel and me) got our priority numbers from the guard - #88, #89, and #90. Having no idea what to do next, we roamed around the office looking for some familiar faces who might be able to guide us on what to do. I saw Mayang, a classmate of ours, inside room #10. She told us that all we have to do is wait for our numbers to come up on the electronic board then proceed to Window #4. The number on the board was still #16. A few minutes passed and I was growing impatient. So Mishel and I tried to go directly to Window #4. Mishel gave the lady behind the glass her #90 slip. The lady accepted it and processed her papers. I followed suit and the same thing happened. So I told Mayang about what we did and she tried it for herself. Unfortunately all she got was, “#30 pa man day, #52 man ni ang imoha. Paghulat ra gud.” Lucky us~♥
The next step was to pay the P75 fee to the cashier. The line to the cashier was long and I didn’t want to join the ruckus. There were two cashier windows. The other window was closed while the other was the one where all the people were lining up. I stayed on the window that was closed wishing that the line on the other side would stop piling up. Then I heard scuffles inside the cashier then lo and behold, the window where I was standing in front of opened and suddenly I was first in line. Lucky us!~♥
All in all, it didn’t take us one hour to process everything. We were out of the PRC office before 12 noon.
Thinking about it now, we have always been lucky when we were at the PRC office. The last time we were there was when we filed to take the board exam. It was the last day of filing but luckily we were able to finish it in time. I guess we could consider that place a “lucky zone,” I just hope that our lucks wouldn’t run out in the future~♠
