Birthday
March 4, 2008 - 12 noon
Seemed to me like it’s just going to be another one of those lazy days that I’ve been experiencing for the last few weeks. Woke up at almost 12 noon, I checked my phone to see whether there were any messages and there were - a whole bunch of ‘em actually. I wanted to reply “thank you” and all of that but the mere fact that I only had P0.50 as my remaining balance made it really quite impossible.
I spent the next 30 minutes lying in bed trying to convince myself (my brain vs me) why I should get out of bed already. I really had no reason to get up. Mishel was busy today running errands for her father and I had nothing else planned for this day since I already had my birthday celebration last Saturday. I just wanted to lay there and sleep. After 25 minutes of reasoning, my brain just gave up. No matter what it did, it just can’t convince me to get up. At least that’s how I thought it was. Emerging victorious, I decided to wallow in my victory by sleeping. But my brain started its retaliation by I guess, instructing my stomach to act like it’s hungry - OMG! It was attacking my weakness! In a heartbeat, I was up and looking through the contents of the fridgeder.
After having had my fill, I switched the computer on and checked for any new mails - friendster comments, friendster messages, etc. I launched my yahoo messenger the second I got online, a message window popped up greeting me a happy birthday and asking about lechon and lechon paksiw - I just can’t help but laugh. It was Adelle and it was refreshing to hear from her again - especially with those witty comments and all. Thank you ^_^
A couple of hours online, I felt the need to get to the bed again and sleep. I was able to get hold of Mishel on the phone and learned that she still had a lot of things to do for work. I hastily moved to my bed. I wanted to be able to sleep before my happy thoughts get eaten by a dark mood. I closed my eyes and wished that when I wake up, it would already be past 12:01 am of March 05.

Happy belated birthday. From someone else who’s birthday is in March. Mine is actually today March 12th!
