Double Celebration

My titas and titos decided to give me a little “handaan” yesterday March 1 to celebrate for two things: first is for passing the board exam and second is for my birthday which is on the 4th of March. I really did not want to have this kind of celebration but since it’s like a thanksgiving party for all the people who have helped me, “what the heck… okay.”

I actually had no intention of inviting any of my friends - well except for Michelle. It’s already a given that she would be there. Anyway I thought that it would be better to celebrate this thanksgiving party and birthday party to the “grown ups” especially to the relatives. I’ll just have another celebration with my friends. But my mother… oh dear mum… she kept on asking, “naingnan na nimo imong barkada? si vincent? makauli daw sya from Polomolok? si jim natext na nimo? kinsa pa? si kim? dino? sean? naa ba si david?” I don’t know what is it with my mother and my grade school/ high school friends. She just seem to have this kind of affinity for them. Seeing her this excited, I had no choice but to give in. I texted my barkada who are here in Davao the night before the celebration. Luckily most of them were available on that day - Vincent, Kim, Dino, and Sean. The only people who were not there were David and Jim. David already has plans with April and Jim… I’m not really sure. I just can’t seem to contact him through any of his cellphone numbers (so Jim if you are reading this… ^^)

The night was okay - I guess. I just wish that my sister Katya was there. It would also have been a very, very, VERY meaningful evening if only my pops was still here to celebrate with us. After all, it was him, together with my mum, who worked really hard to bring me and Katya where we are right now. Okay… change topic! hehe ^^

The 2nd prize f0r most depressing part of the evening goes to *drum roll* the fact that we were not able to take pictures of the event. I had no camera and Michelle’s digicam was still on the fritz. And nobody seem to have brought any T_T I guess we’ll just have the balloons to serve as our memorabilia of that night (yes. there were balloons! haha ^^).

* One H: wala pa ta naghuman =)

* Section A 2007 Group 3 Season 1 + Panyang: Diane texted me if we all could celebrate together. Just drop me a message if game kayo and leave your contact number *

* Broken people: mangita lang ta ug timing. I have a plan in mind ^^ *
