Internet Connection - Things Just Keep On Getting Better
I have 2 Internet connections at home - one is from Smart Bro and the other is from Globe. My original connection was from Smart but I decided to change to Globe when they offered a much better deal. I planned on having my Smart connection disconnected when the new one from Globe comes in. Unfortunately when it was connected, it only gave me a speed of 14kbps. My connection was running slower than that of a dial-up connection. So I decided to keep my Smart Bro connection for a while just until I sort out everything with Globe.
When I arrived at home this morning, I got the itch to try my Globe connection again. At last after 3 weeks of dormancy, I can now use my Globe connection and it gave me a speed of 1000++ kbps. Ah! Things just keep on getting better.

14 kbps is crazy x_x
..why is the upload rate much much slower than download rate?
and the server is near here? talk about far, haha~

I actually have no idea why… but you won’t hear me complaining ^^

hey gigz, im having problem with my smart bro(ken) too…. but ive heard they are tweaking their smart bro(ken) connection so they can get a much better connection. any knowledge about this and share it to a noob like me….harharhar!!!
Lazy Goy reply on February 27th, 2008:
i think i’ve heard about smart bro upgrading their connection speed. i’m not sure though if it’s true. well you can also do a little tweaking yourself. every time i experience bad signal/connection, i just jump and change base stations until i find a better signal/connection. to help you out, i’ll probably write a guide on how to do it ^^
